We are posting this today to update you on the situation with our branded corset production and the global pandemic, and help alleviate any concerns about production delays that you may be experiencing. As you know, our authentic, hand made steel-boned corsets are Made-to-Order with custom sizing options not found anywhere else, and we are proud to say they are the finest quality authentic corsets you can find on the market today. These items typically take 6-8 weeks to be produced and arrive at your door. 

During the height of the pandemic last year, our production was completely shut down for several months which put us behind in our production. Since reopening in the summer of 2020, we have come a very long way to catching up on outstanding delayed orders and had more or less recovered to our normal 6-8 week timeframe, until an additional strain of Covid-19 was discovered in the UK last December, and additional world-wide travel restrictions and cancelled flights began to go into effect. This has impacted parts of our supply chain, as well as impacted shipping timeframes, available freight capacity and has created backlogs across the world especially in US ports and customs. Because of this, we are now slightly back behind our normal 6-8 week turnaround time.

We wanted to make you aware of this today to let you know that this is not typical of our service, and also to let you know that we have recently taken action to increase our production with an additional factory of a comparable high-quality that meets our standards. This second manufacturer means we can produce more corsets at the same time, and it also should act as some protection from any additional production interruptions due to any new strains of Covid-19 that may yet be discovered in one region of the world or another. 

We hope that as the vaccines get distributed, our company will see less and less delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, and we will continue to operate from 2 factories moving forward to hopefully cut down on the impact of localized delays, while increasing our production capacity indefinitely. We have just now solidified this relationship and believe the delays will begin to be relieved immediately.

We really can’t thank you enough for your patience during this tough time. The alt fashion industry in the US especially has been hit very hard by this global pandemic. Many of our most beloved brands and suppliers have shut their doors for good. We, thanks to your support and continued business, have been able to sustain through this hard period, although not totally unaffected. Because of our high standards for the products we put our branded name on, it has been an uphill battle to find the right supplemental factory to manufacture our corsets. We also did experience a higher order volume for our corsets last year due to increased online shopping, which was a blessing, but also did add to the strain on our supply chain. We now feel better than ever about our ability to produce our high quality authentic steel-boned corsets in a timely manner, and our goal is to soon be beating our typical 6-8 week shipping timeframe, which is the industry-wide standard for these items. If we are successful, we hope to be the fastest production option for these items in world moving forward. We will absolutely make you aware of any shipping timeframe updates on our website, on social media and via our email newsletter when that occurs.

Also if you notice that your corset is no longer listed on our site, no need to worry, as we have pulled some items from the site in order to allow our manufacturer to catch up on some, and they will be re-listed once we’ve caught back up. We are also making room site-wide for a LOT of new amazing styles in all categories as well (so stay tuned in!).
